Homemade seitan

This seitan is so versatile, so flexible and so delicious. Use it in all of your recipes!

RECIPE

Use homemade seitan recipe with broth -- and leave out the stuffing. The trick is to cook seitan as the recipe says (or vary as you wish!). Keep in foil. Baste often. Once cooked, simply store in the fridge and rip apart as needed into desired pieces.

Need a few ideas?

Try a salad with homemade cilantro lime vinaigrette dressing. Simply tear off seitan bits and lightly stir-fry before adding to your salad.

Try a hot soup. Add seitan bits to final 10-20 minutes of cooking. You can stir-fry if you want crispy bits.. but trust me when I say they're delicious as-is.

Who doesn't love buffalo wings? Tear your seitan into desired bits. Batter and fry. Yep, it's that easy! Doused in hot sauce.. enjoy with goddess dressing or vegan sour cream.

Tonight we had it in a similar fashion - torn, then lightly stir-fried (in a very, very small amount of oil on a cast iron skillet) - in spaghetti. Serve with a dark green salad + avocado. Delicious.

Enjoy! Please post below if you want me to add more detailed recipes.
